"The sleep of reason produces monsters"

This, borrowed from Goya, is probably the quote that best describes the main inspiration behind my watercolour artworks. Humankind has always tried to give shape to their failures and longings, to make them into fables and myths, lies and bogeys, shaping and giving life to their own nightmares and dreams. Every surge of the human soul is trapped in paper, every fear sealed with pigments, every dream chiseled in brush strokes. But as an artist I don't confine myself to the embankments of watercolours, I often use acrylics to reinforce my sceneries, metallic paints and I make extensive use of india ink.

Probably my earliest love was toward papier-mâché and I practiced this art a lot, producing masks for myself and private individuals. But a sign of this love of mine is immortalized in a medium-length film by the theater company In Scena, conceived and directed by director Vito Palumbo: "Stai lontano da me" (2017). For the director and cast I produced a set of 12 papier-mâché masks, each used as part of the costumes in the film.

In 2020 I saw my watercolour work "Composing" published in the italian museum bimonthly "ART NOW" and in 2021 the same work was video-exhibited in Budapest in Galeria Pintér

In 2021 I painted the watercolour piece "Linfa", which is now the cover of the published novel "Equilibrium - morire non ti salverà" by Dominique Jean Paul Stanisci, Bertoni Editore.

From 21st november 2021 to 9th january 2022 my artwork "Dante tra Smarrimenti e mancamenti" was exhibited in the 3D virtual gallery LIEU.city as finalist of the international contest "Sketch your Dante" announced by Dante Plus 700 and Bonobolabo under the patronage of the "Comitato Nazionale per le Celebrazioni dei 700 anni di Dante Alighieri" and involving the Municipality of Ravenna.
